finally an update!

A couple of you (Liza and Savanna) have mentioned I need to update my blog.  So since my last post in December here is a quick recap---Troy, same old same, same, has now moved onto hard or expert on the Guitar Hero and anxiously awaiting aerosmith GH. Aime---again, same old, same old, driving kids to endless lessons, volunteering at the school, popcorn friday, asking the meaning of life, reading this and that and the other. Savanna---officially a teenager, turned 13 in March, boys, dancing, texting.  Jackson---almost 10(next month), got the avid reader award in his class, testing for black belt in TKD, loves playing outside with the kids in the hood.  Little Miss Madi---never a dull moment, has joined the reading world and loves Pixie Hollow books, also loves playing outside for endless hours with the kids in the hood.
It took a long time coming but summer is finally here, I hope.  The kids are out of school and the weather seems to be turning nice to bring me out of my funk!!

Jackson showing off his snowman, and no Jackson isn't a GIANT, the snowman was very, very small but hey, we were just happy to have snow!!!

jackster tkd

Jackson has been in TKD for 2 1/2 years. The belt system goes yellow, orange, green, purple, blue, red, brown, poome, and then finally black. Yesterday Jackson tested for his poome belt. He normally isn't nervous at testing but this time he was visibly shaking. He did really well and now he is one belt away from getting his black belt. Good job Jackster!!!!
